Who Is Jesus?

Who is Jesus? Christianity makes an extraordinary claim: Jesus isn’t simply a good teacher. Jesus is God who became human to reveal God to us and bring us back to life.

John tells us that if we want to know what God is like, we should look at Jesus. In Him, God came near and entered our experience. But Jesus also came to address what’s wrong with us and our world. The Bible calls that brokenness sin, and ultimately says it leads to death.

That’s why the Good News of Jesus is more than advice about becoming a better person. Jesus came to rescue us from death and bring us back to life. Because of His great love for us, God moves toward us even in our brokenness, offering forgiveness, healing, freedom, reconciliation, hope, and ultimately resurrection.

The question isn’t only “Who is Jesus?” but also “What will I do with Him?”
