Where will you serve?

Every person and role matters in the “body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12). We are grateful for the individuals in our church family that selflessly give of their time to serve on our teams. We believe that volunteering does something both in us and for those around us, while helping the church function at its best.

If you call Bright City your church home, we would love to get you plugged in to one of our teams. Below, explore the roles on our Sunday Teams or Engagement Teams. Let us know where you want to start serving through our Volunteer Interest Form.

Volunteer

Sunday Teams

  • Kid City volunteers make sure our kids feel safe and loved, in fun and age appropriate classrooms, where we help them learn more about Jesus. Roles include class teacher, class assistant, and family check in. Background check required to serve.

  • The worship team serves our church through music each Sunday, helping us to engage with the presence of God. Needed roles are vocals, acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, keys, and drums.

  • The goal of the connect team is to make sure that every person who walks through the doors at Bright City would feel welcome and loved. Roles include coffee, greeter, and connector.

  • The goal of the production team is to remove distractions from our gatherings to make the gospel clear and accessible to everyone. Roles include audio and media (ProPresenter).

  • The setup team arrives early to unload our trailer and set up our space at the school each Sunday. Their goal is to turn the cafeteria and gym into a place where God can open people’s hearts and have His message received.

Engagement Teams

  • The local impact team helps serve the needs of our local ministry partnerships and organizes service projects throughout our community.

  • The communication team helps to keep our church and supporters in the know about what God is doing in and through Bright City. Roles include photography, graphic design, social media, videography, web design, and marketing.

  • The events and outreach team plans and organizes events (i.e. Fall Fest, Christmas Program, Summer Family Events, etc.) and look to use these events to love and share Jesus with our community.

  • Missional Communities are a small group of people following Jesus and living on mission in everyday life. Leaders host regular dinners, gatherings, or conversations.
