What does it really mean to follow Jesus? Is believing in Him enough, or is He inviting us into something more?

In Mark 8:34–37, Jesus challenges us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him, reminding us that gaining everything the world offers means nothing if we lose our souls in the process.
Following Jesus requires surrender. It means letting Him shape our priorities, redirect our desires, and lead every part of our lives. But this surrender isn’t about losing the life we want—it’s about discovering the abundant life He created us for.
Jesus is worth everything it costs to follow Him. The question is, are we willing to trust Him with everything?
